Cooped up in Chicagoland with an incurable case of wanderlust. What's the quickest, cheapest excursion to Canada from here? So I'm just dying to visit another country and I've never been to Canada. The shortest route I can find is about 8 hours, but that's to a city called Sarnia, where the main tourist attraction seems to be their casino. Not my cup of tea. I'm looking for a B&B type setup, with things like hiking, boating, and anything folksy, arts-and-crafts-related, local town fairs... You know. Culture. So does anyone know of any great destinations in Canada within a day's drive of Chicago?
