My dealings with Mr. Ratcliff centred around the replacement of a damaged Back-Hatch and a paint job on my vehicle. However, the unfolding of events during the billing process with CHUBB insurance company, and the continued deterioration of my vehicle has raised serious concerns, potentially pointing towards fraudulent activities. First and foremost, my trust in Ratcliff Autobody was seriously compromised when they claimed in both their initial estimate and the final invoice that a new Back-Hatch had been used for the repair, when in actuality, it was not. This is an outright falsehood concerning a critical aspect of the service - the quality of the replacement parts. It is worth noting that I sought opinions from five different local Auto Collision Centres, all of which found and identified the discrepancies, arrived at the same conclusions, and thereby corroborated my suspicions regarding the substandard nature of the repairs performed by Ratcliff Autobody / Carstar Gravenhurst. The discrepancies that they found included untampered bolts that would have indication wear or scratches had the hatch been removed to facilitate a new one, fait overspray on the molding which indicates that the door was painting in place and not removed, excessive rusting on what was suppose to be a new hatch, the original security label is un-tampered with, as well as many other observations. What raises significant suspicion in this situation is that Mr. Ratcliff appeared to be fully aware that a new Back-Hatch had not been installed on my vehicle. This goes beyond a mere oversight; it suggests a more deliberate act of deception with the aim and benefit of securing the CHUBB insurance Company to cover the cost of a new Back-Hatch and lock, effectively capitalizing on their trust.

Looking for reputable auto body shop in Toronto Hey guys, My car was hit on the weekend(parked) and there is a massive dent in the hood and I think its out of alignment. It looks like a pickup truck or jeep or something high backed into it. Has anyone had any good experiences with body shops in the Toronto area? Thanks and happy thanksgiving :)
