Dowtown Sound is owned and operated by Mario ("Rockin' Rio") Pietrangeli, a graduate of Recording Arts Canada who has been recording bands and music since 1996. Downtown Sound offers professional recording, mixing and mastering using Cubase, Protools, Wavelab and other software coupled with solid analog gear.

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Hamilton at Barton and James Street North, Downtown Sound incorporates professionally designed tracking and control rooms in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Microphones include studio classics from Neumann, AKG, Sennheiser, Oktava, Shure, 3-Zigma/ADK and others.

Artists recording at Downtown Sound also gain access to the "Studio Collection" of vintage amplifiers, high quality guitars, effects and other equipment (advance arrangements required).
